Sunset Direct Lending has ceased accepting loan packages until further notice. One reader submitted:
We just tried to check on 2 loans in process (with Sunset Direct) and all we are getting from our AE's voice mail is that they are no longer accepting loan applications and "Thank you for your past business". So...we (my processing manager and myself) called the Toll-Free# and the operator is shining us on that my AE is at a seminar and that everything should be OK; until we talked with someone who's been there a Loooong time - and asked about our 2 files - surprise! They are unable to fund any loans right now and HOPE to let us know in several weeks what they CAN do (my borrowers won't wait on that rhetoric).
Sunset Direct Lending made loans nationwide in all but six states.
