This CA-based company claims to be diversified, though in practice I'm not sure how much business they did that was not marginal lending. They operated in CA, AZ, NV, FL, OR, and WA. On March 5th, they posted this notice on their web site:
Effective as of the opening of business on Monday March 5, 2007, Trojan Lenidng [SIC] has ceased its wholesale mortgage operations and will no longer be underwriting or funding wholesale mortgages nationwide. Should you have any questions regarding closed loans, please cotnact [SIC] the office at 866-577-2500. Thank you and we appreciate your past business.
Seems like that was written in a real hurry.
Here is a capture of the old "about" page. Notice the reference to "financial innovation technology" near the bottom! Always the refuge of the insolvent and irresponsible...
