GOVERNOR SCOTT 'GET FLORIDA BACK TO WORK'! February 14th, 2011 7:48 am Governor Scott ran a 'get to work' campaign and luckily he governs a state that is rich with resources that can provide employment. Florida is blessed with both rich agricultural land and an abundance of oil. However, our 'Washington leaders' pay farmers to either not grow crops or pour corn into our gas tanks. They refuse to drill for our massive amounts of fossil fuel. What 'idiots' believe paying terrorists is better than producing our own oil?

If Governor Scott really wants to save Florida, he must fight Barry and the liberals in Congress for the rights to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. Cuba, Mexico, China and South America are already drilling in the Gulf, but Barry, overruling a federal judge, stopped all American drilling.

Liberals dream of taking us back to WIND - WATER - SUN energy. 'BEEN there - DONE that' 300 years ago and THEN we invented better things: electricity, computers, planes, automobiles, etc. – ALL of which run on oil and coal – two things we have in abundance. We could build refineries on closed military bases tomorrow if we dissolve the Department of Energy. Thirty years after Carter created the DOE, their ONLY 'energy policy' is to buy oil from terrorists.

We should build huge agricultural farms. People are starving and rioting in Egypt, Greece, many parts of Asia and most of Africa. With a severe drought even China has to import food. Think how quickly we could pay back the trillions of dollars we have borrowed with food exports. How arrogant of us to watch the world STARVE as we 'save' OUR oil and use corn to drive our cars to the mall. If America focuses on food and oil, we would be rich again as a nation. In two years we could turn this entire DEPRESSED country around and supply the world with the two things everyone needs to survive: food and oil. Oil and food, not housing bubbles, carbon credits or borrowing, are the exports that will save us from a deeper Depression.

Florida is a most blessed state. She has a massive body of water just waiting to supply us with 'black gold', and a wonderful climate just waiting to supply us with 'green gold'. Why is 25% unemployment better for Florida than drilling rigs and massive farms that will put Floridians back to work? Governor Scott - drilling and farming are the only 'real' ways to get 'Florida back to work'. Permalink
