'It might sound like a stereotype, but once again the expression Black Monday seems to fit perfectly well: it was such a day in Stock Exchanges all over the world, and by far the worst for years, probably second only to the sudden crash after the 9/11 day in 2001. And once again the United States were the real root of the problem, since analysts across the globe are unanimous in attributing the new crash (which cost some 431 billion Euro only in Europe) to the strong recession fears.'
