A counter-point to a post we ran earlier:

A hardship letter from a borrower can be persuasive. A Mad Libs form letter from numerous borrowers is not. When faced with them, it's easier to disregard them all than try to figure out who's filled in a couple of blanks truthfully, and who's just trying to scam their lender.
