``Lewis and Cohan, critical as they may be, refuse to put into words what should be evident: the present administration has no intention whatsoever of opening up any book, or investigate who did what on Wall Street. The few executives who have been forced out are simply those who fell out of favor, not the most inept or suspicious figures.''

Deposit only what you need to clear the checks you write, and store the rest in your 'mattress'. What they don't know you have can't be taken away from you. Don't play the stock market, and don't buy anything you can't afford, and stop using your credit cards. What are they going to do? Force you to deposit money? Force you to 'buy' stocks (which you don't own anyway)? Force you to spend? We have been indoctrinated since the 70's to spend more than we had, consequences be damned, and they are still prescribing the same medicine. Remember what the NYC mayor said days after 9/11? "Support NYC, by patronizing merchants, going to see a show, etc". While the wreckage was still burning. Do you honestly think anyone gives a damn if you lose everything you have? It's all about your money..and how fast 'they' can swindle it away from you. (Whew...that felt better...)
