Nashville is one of several U.S. cities that these days are accommodating the homeless and their encampments, instead of dispersing them. Thank God there are some US cities where common decency & humanity are not just empty phrases. They call Nashville the Athens of the South & this is why. Let's call these camps what they are, Refugee Camps. It is another in the list of National Disgraces that we now have a refugee problem inside the supposed richest country in the world. When these camps are dispersed by force it is no different than when the Janjaweed disperses camps in the Darfur. Permalink
