"County officials learned in April they face a huge pension deficit. Both employees and the County make annual payments for pensions employees earn each year. There's a problem - if additional payments are needed to eliminate pension deficits only the County is responsible. County payments to the Fund would grow from $6 million to $25 million in three years. The County's budget is already in trouble - this would be disaster."
