Nations Have Avoided Protectionism, W.T.O. Chief Says

" Fears that countries would resort to protectionism during the recent financial upheaval have proved largely unsubstantiated — so far — and trade officials will use the coming months to overcome the remaining issues blocking a global trade deal, the chief of the World Trade Organization said Friday."
