Ohio - State sues 2nd mortgage servicer this year

Attorney General Richard Cordray said his office filed suit Thursday in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas in Cleveland against American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc., which has more than 12,000 subprime and prime Ohio loans on its books. The Irving-based company faces accusations it violated Ohio consumer protection laws by failing to offer adequate options to struggling borrowers and providing deceptive loan modification terms.
