"The Wells Fargo & Co. merger is heading East.The San Francisco bank announced Wednesday that it will convert Wachovia bank branches in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee in late September, followed by Georgia locations in October. It will be the first switch of Wachovia locations east of the Mississippi."
