"Ms. Warren should unquestionably be asked to head up this new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, bribed, begged and/or pleaded with, if need be. Without her philosophy and leadership setting the standards and tone of this new bureau as it is established, it should simply be disbanded… we don’t need another federal bureau to let the banks do whatever they’d like to the American consumer. We already have every other federal agency and regulatory body for that."

Well, it comes as no surprise that lil' Timmay is squalling his lungs off for momma (GS & CO) to save him from this big, scary woman. I'll bet the budget to sink her is well up in the hundreds of millions. If he has his way they will put a sleeping dog in as the boss from the first & keep the new Bureau (should be an agency) from EVER doing anything. Permalink

Mama says “Stupid is as Stupid does,” so why stop Obama’s hope on dope policies with anything less than the democrat's best heading up the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We need the Queen of “Affirmative Action,” Ms. Maxine Waters; U.S. Congresswoman (D - CA). As long as we are talking about double talk and "stupid is", why not honor us all with the insane wisdom of Jesse Jackson heading up the press releases for the new department… at a salary of at least $500,000; because we deserve the best!

Quick sanity check; the 35% max DTI requirements of the finance bill will decimate property values along Southern California’s coastline cities. WOW! Just what we need in California, even lower property values. Estimates are that less than 10% of those owning homes in Orange, San Diego, and Ventura Counties will be able to qualify using the required income guidelines to re-purchase or even refinance their current homes, let alone purchase a new one. Property values are based on the ability to actually be able to find someone who can afford to buy the property… what a concept! Obama is all clearly about redistributing wealth, but with this legislation he can add destroying wealth along with his accomplishments. Permalink

I just wish McCain would have won and we'd be back to 5% unemployment, property values would have magically bounced back and the national debt would not be a big deal again. Permalink

Do you know how many people have been taken advantage of by these big banks (your buddy, Paulson was employed by (was it ) Goldman before he went to work for the feds? Not just the small established mortgage company that had to close their doors because of your buddys "PICK YOUR PAY" loans. . .Who invented that crap? You know, the first time home buyer 100% , W-2 wage earner stated. . seller paid all closing costs. . now pick you payment? What? Who was out for the consumer then? TEll me that one? Permalink
