Alaska gets millions from feds to rebuild run-down buildings

"This is the second grant Alaska has received from the HUD neighborhood stabilization program. In 2008, the state was allocated $19.6 million, one-quarter of which went to Fairbanks. The local spending helped fund the redevelopment of 77 units."
