Employment to Population Ratio – One Chart Tells All

"If there’s a single picture that tells the story of the woes of the US Economy, this one may be it. The Fed’s pumping has enriched the bankers and the top 1%, and left everyone else in the ditch. This is a chart of the ratio of total US employment to total population. It has barely budged off the lows, and in recent months has been declining again. The employment/population ratio is at the lowest levels since 1986 after reversing a 40 year uptrend earlier in this decade."
