Shore foreclosures on the rise, figures show

"A recent study by the Center for Housing Leadership, part of the Richmond-based nonprofit Housing Opportunities Made Equal of Virginia Inc., found that in 2010 the largest increase in filings occurred in rural Virginia. Foreclosure rates in rural Virginia have nearly doubled since 2008, while rates in urban areas have remained fairly level."
