``The “Blow the Whistle†campaign to identify the Senator that placed that anonymous hold on the [Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act] last Congress has come to a close, in large part thanks to your participation. The prospective holders were narrowed down to Senators Kyl (R-AZ) and Sessions (R-AL). This should not come as a surprise since both Senators have taken turns blocking federal whistleblower reform in the previous four congresses. Neither will come out of the closet, but we have been informed by numerous, highly credible congressional sources that the hold was placed by Senate Republican leadership as a professional courtesy, at the request of House Republican leadership (despite having passed the bill in the House by Unanimous Consent, hours before the Senate hold was placed).
