"As if the country weren't already dealing with enough headaches, the U.S. Postal Service announced on Friday that it's now on the verge of default. "We are experiencing a severe cash crisis," said CFO Joseph Corbett. "Without changes in the law, the Postal Service will be unable to make the $5.5 billion mandated prepayment due in September."
