"Renters in a property with a federally related mortgage have to be given 90 days notice to move out, according to the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act, which was passed in 2009. However, owners who buy the foreclosed property do not have to honor the remaining lease terms or give the full 90 days notice if they plan to live there full-time, according to the law."
