Nevada AG Masto Reluctant to Settle With Banks on Foreclosure Fraud, Release Liability

"This is just obvious stuff. Masto has an ongoing lawsuit with Bank of America over the bank misleading borrowers about loan modifications and using deceptive and inaccurate reasons for denying them. She also has inquiries into "various areas of mortgage fraud" and a civil investigation into mortgage securitization. Why would she release all of that for a piddling sum that has to be split 50 ways, especially when she represents one of the most damaged housing markets in the country?"
