Has the Fed succeeded? Depends no what you mean by success. The economy is still mired in problems and 2013 is going to bring us some major fiscal challenges. The state of California has a big tax ballot initiative this November. It would be one thing if home prices were stabilizing because of higher incomes instead of financial magic from the Fed.
