One of theme that seems to be emerging in the housing sector in 2013 is that asset prices are rising, but the housing sector is not recovering in an economic sense, particularly measured in terms of jobs, GDP or credit expansion. Analysts such as Ivy Zelman are pounding the table regarding the housing market -- and with good reason -- yet the recovery in housing prices seems to be disconnected from traditional economic drivers.
