``In his post, Curatola claims that his health insurance coverage was cancelled by Aetna as a result of Obamacare. I don't dispute the claim that the health plan he had through Aetna was cancelled, but I do have a problem with the sweeping generalization that it's the fault of the President or his healthcare plan. There's quite a bit of rhetoric about people being kicked off their health insurance and the GOP meme constantly quoting the president as having said, "if you like your health care plan, you can keep it," over and over at every chance they get.
The truth turns out to be a little more complicated than that. On December 31, the House Energy and Commerce Committee released a report looking into exactly how many people will lack health insurance under the new regime. Using an Associated Press estimate the 4.7 million people received cancellation notices as their baseline. According to the report, just 10,000 of those people, who lost their coverage in 2013 won't have access to affordable insurance.'' source article | permalink | discuss | subscribe by: | RSS | email Comments: Be the first to add a comment add a comment | go to forum thread Note: Comments may take a few minutes to show up on this page.
