LendingTree has named the Mortgage companies it alleges used former employee passwords to gain access to consumer credit data. In a statement on it's web site, LendingTree says,

"We brought a lawsuit against Newport Lending Group, Irvine, California; Home Loan Consultants, Inc., Newport Beach, California; and Sage Credit Company, Irvine, California, in connection with this incident."

We contacted Newport Lending Group in Irvine and a company spokesperson states they will be "vindicated" and they "had nothing to do with this." We called Home Loan Consultants, Inc. of Newport Beach and without adding any comments, referred our call to their Attorney. Sage Credit Company of Irvine, California would not return our calls.
