A lot is at stake here, and depending on the terms Lehman is able to secure - assuming they can close a deal all - Merrill Lynch will have to make some quick and decisive decisions regarding their own strategy for shoring up the company portfolio, shedding problem assets, and raising capital with out diluting investor share value unnecessarily.
