Homeowners brought a federal racketeering lawsuit on Thursday against KB Home (KBH.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the former Countrywide Financial Corp and appraiser LandSafe Inc, accusing the companies of operating a scheme to fraudulently inflate sales prices of KB homes in Arizona and Nevada.

It will be interesting to see this play out. If the government (the courts) continues to whitewash & deny justice to individual homeowners the consequences to government in general will be severe. This action will prove or disprove that government takes it's orders from the financial sector. If the public doesn't like the results almost anything could happen politically. Why not include CA on this Ive wondered it myself where I live they did not use comps on anything outside of the new condo project. So john and jane homemakers new condo was use for Mike and Lara Homedoer etc etc... Dont you need existing value to support pricing? Closest condos are over a mile away Permalink
