I hope you run for office someday! The problem I see is that " We would have to start up a new country!" Prime borrower??? Oh No!!!!! It's going to get them too? Their neighbor has a (or had) nice home similar sq.ft. , Let's say, nice ok? 500K range. So, now you have an idea of what the banks have on their books as far as their REO. Prime borrower has execellent credit , good job, takes care of his yard much in the same way he takes care of his good credit. Prime borrower never did one of those risky loans, didn't have to as they were prime,,,. .perfect 15-30 year fixed type client. Now, prime borrower lost his job! Lost his pride, self esteem, dignity and what ever else he "HAD"! Savings and retirement (what was left of that too) to save face and feed his family. Oh, by the way he too stopped mowing his lawn. .
