- Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the $700 billion U.S. financial-industry bailout, said the program will “almost certainly” result in a loss to taxpayers.

“We need to temper or be realistic about our expectations, a dollar-for-dollar return is just highly unrealistic,” he said yesterday at the Bloomberg Washington Summit. “It’s almost certainly going to be a loss.”

Guess what; the American people will demand EVERY PENNY back. I think a special tax on the financial sector would be more than appropriate. These bought off politicos need to temper or be realistic in their understanding of the expectations of the American people. I repeat EVERY PENNY. Permalink

Ja, ja ,ja. American people demanding something? No personal offense intended but that's hilarious.

We, the American people have been financially and politically raped many times over (not to get into all the other rapes areas, such as education, retirement, property and health insurance, etc...) Our nation and its people have been looted like there is no tomorrow and all I see are banksters, Wall Streeters, Politicians and other professional career thieves getting bolder and slicker since no one is obviously stopping them. We have Master Bankster thieves such as Citi, BoA, Wells and too many others to mention, that raped us many times over and they are becoming the sole owners of this nation without even the mentioning or threat of a fight. In the old days, the American People used to block out the non honest businesses from their list of potential business to buy services or products from, but I see big businesses involved in big criminal scams that keep getting more and more business from them and getting bigger and richer.

The Americans I knew decades ago that had the guts to fight for what is right and fair are way gone down the pike with their strippers and drug dealers.

Very sad indeed. We the American People will never even get ONE PENNY back and much more will be stolen now that they know what a bunch of sheep we became.

Good luck to all of us.
