This is truly horrifying. The question is, are we still safe? I guess, that's the not the end of it, it seems that there are still more in the future. On the other hand, the suspect pled guilty to the crime. His conviction is without the possibility of parole. Shahzad tried using Times Square as a place to set off a bomb. Pedestrians alerted police to a smoking automobile, which resulted in a Times Square evacuation. Soon after, Shahzad was arrested. He is a Pakistani by birth. He is affiliated with a Pakistan based branch of the Taliban. Permalink
