As a new report shows checking account fees rising, some to record highs, many South Florida consumers say they're fed up.
Some have closed their bank accounts, and others are finding ways to trim their charges.
Action makes sense, because South Florida has some of the highest bank fees in the nation, according to the study released this week by personal finance website Bankrate.com.
