I have been bitten by these vampires. Midland Credit Management (MCM) is trying to collect on a credit card debt that was discharged in a bankruptcy in 1986. That's right - 1986. I sent them the Fair Credit Practices letter that is available on this website along with a letter I composed stating that if they pay me the amount of the debt they are trying to collect I promise not to sue them for trying to collect a debt that was discharged in a BK.
