In what one LO described as a "sudden, surprise move," Envision Lending Group Inc. President Amy Anderson sent out a memo today announcing they would not renew licensing in 20 states where they were due to expire December 31, 2008.

The loan officer or other mortgage company that was quoted as saying it was a "sudden suprise move" regarding the dropping the 20 lowest performing states is an idiot. Hey pal, go get your shine box. After 9 years in the business, Envison is the first broker I have ever worked wiht that treats its loan officers wiht honesty and does not play games wiht their checks, regarless if you produce 1 loan a month or 10. To have Envison Lending Inc on the watch list is absurd. I thought this was a watch list for LENDERS. Are you now watching brokers??? And the tone of the article is ridiculous - who needs more hysteria? A broker not renewing licenses in low producing states is newsworthy? And why is this of any importance to Mortgage LENDER Implode-O-Meter? It is very misleading to have Envision on your website. Loan Officers and Lenders should know that a Broker is having licenses revoked or determining not to renew them. Envision pertends to play by the rules, but if you have worked for them or delt with them in the past you know they clearly don't. For example: It is my undderstanding that they allow co-brokering and commission sharing with other Loan Officers inside the company when they are not licensed in the State the property is located. It is my understanding they are still allowing (Fake) marketing invoices so Loan Officers can be paid like independant contractors to get around FHA and State law. I also know several Offices they have Loan Officers conduct business out of that are not licenced in Nevada and Utah against State law. You can only break the rules for so long. Even if you are ONLY a broker. I am just happy I do not work for Envision Lending Group, and that most of my friends have left. Your just hopping you can continue to benefit from Envision's impropriety as long as possible. Envision practices well within compliance and puts it's policies in line with regulatory agencies. In an industry that is constantly evolving, Envision has proven to be rather adept at ensuring enough oversight of it's employees. Unfortunately there are singular incidents on the part of reckless individuals that ruin for everyone else. Why create more hysteria? These types of stories and negative comments do nothing but serve those that stand to benefit from the chaos in the industry. Do some REAL research and don't be so reckless.
