Avoiding foreclosure

A local college professor lost his job, soon fell four months behind on his mortgage and was in danger of losing his home. A Dallas woman who had missed six months of mortgage payments because of a major family illness had lenders knocking at her door.

These are just two of the many Americans who are a lost paycheck or major illness away from financial disaster.
