Colonial Bank announced it eliminated 136 jobs across its five-state footprint this week, inÂcluding about 30 positions in the Montgomery and south AlabaÂma markets.
Colonial spokeswoman MerÂrie Tolbert said the cuts imÂpacted about 3 percent of ColoÂnial's work force of 4,873 employees.
