"I’ve got it now… so, the Federal Reserve recommends that consumers contact an attorney when involved in contract disputes with banks, but the California legislature is about to pass a law saying that lawyers can’t charge a client a fair retainer when taking on such clients, which will effectively eliminate a consumer’s ability to retain legal counsel? Do I have that right, or am I missing something?"

This is history, not money. I'm surprised these BS non-profits haven't jumped into this yet. Anyone ever feel like something's that come out of our gov't just don't feel right? There is a reason for that, because it's not, we have more of a feeling about things are than some senator or congress person.(Unfortunately) I bash mine on a daily basis to try and bash some since into there heads. Yes, all this BS will pass, the new HERA/TIL. I mean honestly, it wasn't worth the money everyone spent in order for these politicians to figure out a way to make this informative. Let's be honest, the customer wants to know what rate they are making a payment on and what the monthly payment is and thats it. It is really that simple. The APR is BS, because 90% of the software out there right now doesn't calculate it properly anyway. Anybody feel me? I hear ya!
