Home Loan Executives bank is teetering

"Home Loan Executives, once a prominent mortgage bank in Tucson with ties to First Magnus, is on the brink of shutting down. The company lost nearly $2 million in 2007 and 2008 and has been locked out of its former branch office at 3116 N. Swan Road after its owner, Carmine Russo, failed to pay rent. Its Green Valley branch has switched over to American Home Mortgage. Meanwhile, staffing has been cut dramatically from about 120 employees this past winter to roughly 30, the company's management says."
