A company planning to build a senior-citizen housing complex in an empty lot in Kittanning is awaiting approval from a state agency for tax credits.
Trek Development Group president Bill Gatti Jr. said the group applied for the credits last month with the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. The group is planning to build "Kittanning Cottages" along North McKean Street, where buildings of the Armstrong Campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania once stood.
