``Barofsky’s right when he criticizes how the HAMP program performed from its inception, throughout 2009 and into 2010… it’s astonishing to me that it’s taken him this long to figure it out, but he’s finally done so. But beginning in June of 2010, HAMP finally started getting better, so House Republicans, who’ve done nothing and said nothing productive about the crisis since it began, now want to kill it. With the apparent time delay involved with anyone in Washington learning anything about the foreclosure crisis, if they get their way, I figure they’ll succeed just in time for the program to be working smoothly.''
