"Both purchase and refinance demand slipped lower last week despite a decrease in mortgage interest rates, the Mortgage Bankers Association reported today. The MBA's home loan application index fell 4.0 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis for the week ending May 27, and was 4.2 percent lower than the previous week on an unadjusted basis."
